Adult ADHD/Autism Right To Choose

If you would like to be referred for an ADHD or Autism referral via the Right to Choose pathway, you can visit the Black Country Integrated Care Board (ICB) website:

Right to Choose referrals for Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) :: Black Country ICB

The table on this website lists the details of the Right to Choose providers that the Black Country Integrated Care Board has been able to verify hold a qualifying NHS contract to deliver Right To Choose services and some details of the service provision.

This list is not exhaustive and will be updated with new providers as and when the ICB becomes aware of providers and have verified they hold the appropriate NHS contract.

Due to a change in referral criteria (as of January 2026), we cannot refer you to any providers that are not currently verified for funding under the Black Country ICB.

What you need to do.

As referrals are patient initiated, you are required to choose a provider from the list and visit that chosen providers website. There you will find information on how to initiate a referral – you may be required to complete some pre-assessment questionnaires (ASRS for ADHD referrals and AQ10/AQ50 for Autism referrals) and you can download a referral request letter.

IMPORTANT
You MUST visit your chosen provider’s direct website before letting us know which provider you have chosen. It is your responsibility to check which service is appropriate for your needs.

Some providers provide medication/aftercare and other services do not, and some will require you to be seen face to face, whereas others offer all virtual assessments.

Once you have chosen your provider, you will need to arrange a GP appointment with one of our regular GPs to discuss the referral. If appropriate, the GP will make the onward referral to your chosen provider.
