If you would like to be referred for an ADHD or Autism referral via the Right to Choose pathway, you must visit the Black Country Integrated Care Board (ICB) website:
Here you will find information on how an NHS Right to Choose referral works, and a table that offers a list of providers that are currently funded for NHS assessments by the Black Country ICB.
Due to a change in referral criteria (as of January 2026), we cannot refer you to any providers that are not currently verified for funding under the Black Country ICB.
As referrals are patient initiated, you are required to choose a provider from the list and visit that chosen providers website. There you will find information on how to initiate a referral – you may be required to complete some pre-assessment questionnaires (ASRS for ADHD referrals and AQ10/AQ50 for Autism referrals) and you can download a referral request letter.
Once you have chosen your provider, you will need to arrange a GP appointment with one of our regular GPs to discuss the referral. If appropriate, the GP will make the onward referral to your chosen provider.
