Travel Advice and Vaccinations

The practice offers a travel vaccination service and we are able to provide NHS vaccines only.

If you require private vaccines you will need to contact a specialist travel service. These services are private and you will be charged a fee for advice and treatment.

Please ensure to book a travel consultation 4 to 6 weeks before your travel date. Some vaccines require a set schedule be followed in order to complete the course.

  • Polio (If your travel destination requires a polio vaccine certificate to state is has been administered in the last 12 months, in addition to the UK schedule, then this will be a private vaccine.)

  • Japanese B Encephalitis
  • Yellow Fever

  • It is helpful to visit www.travelhealthpro.org.uk/countries enter your destination(s) and view the advice and vaccinations recommended.
  • If you think you require NHS vaccines or if you are unsure what vaccines are required, please contact our reception team to book an appointment for a Travel Assessment with the practice nurse. Please note – You may be required to book a further appointment to have your NHS travel vaccinations.
  • If private travel vaccines are required these may need to be given over a longer period of time so we advise that you contact a private travel service at your earliest convenience.
